Thomas Astruc is the creator and a co-director, producer and writer for Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir.[1][2][3]
Career
Thomas worked on Code Lyoko, W.I.T.C.H., and Season 2 of The Daltons as a storyboard artist, and on Totally Spies! as the storyboard supervisor. He is also known for his work as a storyboard artist on Wasabi (2001) and Asterix and Obelix Meet Cleopatra (2002). At some point while Miraculous was being made, he was a guest artist for LoliRock on the episode «Batty», storyboarding the second half of the episode and revising the episode’s script.[4]
Currently, aside from working on Miraculous, Thomas is working as a script doctor and co-author on Mélody Cisinski’s upcoming animated movie, Revolution.[5]
At JapansTours37 in a conference with Thomas Astruc it was revealed that, at one point, Thomas wanted to do ‘real’ work and study to become an engineer or dentist rather than an animator and writer.[6]

Как родился персонаж Леди Баг?
Всё началось с моей шутки над подругой. На ней была футболка с божьей коровкой, и я изобразил её на карикатурном постере с супергероиней. К тому же, я увлекаюсь комиксами, читаю всё, что выходит. Я подумал про себя: эй, никогда раньше не было супергероев, основанных на божьей коровке, так что, может быть, я могу сделать это первым. Постепенно я начал расширять персонажей и вселенную вокруг них. Со временем я позабыл эту историю. И тем лучше!
Как создатель, вспоминаете ли вы начало сериала «Леди Баг и Супер-Кот»?
Здесь и сейчас я вижу достигнутый нами прогресс. Вы должны понимать, что когда мы только запускали «Леди Баг» в производство, сериал рушил все общепринятые нормы. Когда мы придумывали этот проект в своё время, женщины-супергероини совсем не продавались.
История происходит в Париже, и тогда это вызывало неодобрение зрителей, потому что, когда вы делаете что-то слишком культурно значимое, вы думаете, что это не будет популярно в других странах, что люди, принадлежащие к другим культурам, не смогут ассоциировать себя с героями. К тому же, когда я объяснял принцип действия сериала, никто меня не понимал. К счастью, в меня поверили, и я показал, как это работает в первом эпизоде. Короче говоря, в то время успех сериала был совсем не очевидным. А теперь он очевиден для всех!
Как бы вы охарактеризовали сотый эпизод мультсериала?
Мы попытались ответить на вопрос, который очень мучает зрителей: что произойдёт, если Маринетт и Адриан раскроют друг другу свои супергеройские личности? Надеюсь, им понравилась эта история. Да, и не только над пятым, но и над шестым! Пятый сезон будет завершением основной сюжетной арки. Это не значит, что он станет концом сериала, но в шестом сезоне мы начнём новую арку.

Они должны поехать в Бразилию, в частности в Рио, но супергерои посетят и другие места в этой стране. Этот спецэпизод сейчас находится в разработке. Надеемся на его премьеру в начале 2023 года.

Тома Астрюк наиболее известный как Томас Астрюк ( Thomas Astruc) — создатель, соруководитель[2], режиссёр, продюсер и сценарист сериала.[3][4]
История
Томас ранее работал раскадровщиком и в других мультсериалах и фильмах — «W.I.T.C.H.», «A.T.O.M.: Alpha Teens on Machines», «Totally Spies!», «Code Lyoko», «Васаби» и «Астерикс и Обеликс: Миссия Клеопатра».
В настоящее время, помимо работы над Miraculous, Томас работает скрипт-доктором и соавтором предстоящего анимационного фильма Мелоди Чисинская Revolution. [5]Когда найдутся средства и продюсер, Томас станет главным режиссером и, возможно, соруководителем вместе с Мелоди.
