If you have a thought, idea, or question you’d like to share with former President Barack Obama, you might wonder if it’s even possible to contact him. Luckily, there are a number of ways that you may be able to get in touch with him! Just keep in mind that even though he isn’t the President anymore, he’s still a very busy and popular person, so he may not be able to respond to each individual message he receives.

  1. Image titled Contact Barack Obama Step 1

Reach out through his official website. The contact page on Barack Obama’s website is the official channel for the public to contact the former President. In fact, the Office of Barack and Michelle Obama requests that you use this form rather than sending personal mail. Fill out the form to send a personal message, to request an appearance by President Obama, or if you’re a member of the press making a media inquiry.[1]

    • Select «President Obama» from the drop-down menu at the top of the page (you also have the option of contacting Michelle Obama through the same form).
    • Fill out the top of the form with your name, email address, phone number, and address. Then, compose your message in the text box.
    • After you proof-read your message, click the blue «Get in Touch» box at the bottom of the form.

All right, let’s try something new. If you’re in the United States, send me a text at 773-365-9687 — I want to hear how you’re doing, what’s on your mind, and how you’re planning on voting this year.
